The Year in Tools–2009
2009 will be remembered as another bittersweet year for the building industry. Businesses still struggled and some went down for the count, while others drastically downsized to keep afloat. Many guys reinvented themselves as remodelers and installers and found a new wave of work spurred on by the federal energy tax credits. Through this all, new efficiencies are being found in building practices and workforce sizes and the streamlined business models that emerge and lead the building of tomorrow will likely be different that what we were used to before the housing crash.
