Stride Right. Ever notice that a drywall guy stomping around on stilts looks a lot like Herman Munster? Not so with Tru-Pro's aluminum drywall stilts, which dispense with the typical one-piece footplate in favor of two separate footplates that pivot independently of each other, resulting in a more natural heel-to-toe walking motion. According to the maker, this design speeds work, decreases fatigue and the chance of injury, and makes walking backward or up and down stairs a lot easier. (While we couldn't verify that, we did find a YouTube video of two guys on Tru-Pro stilts shooting hoops.) The stilts come in 15- to 23-inch, 18- to 30-inch, and 24- to 40-inch heights and cost $320.
