What would you do if your compressor fell down the stairs and got trashed, but the parts could be salvaged?
Artacoma (his screen name) knew what to do – pack them into a Systainer. You can see what he did on this page from an online forum called talkFestool. He drilled some holes in the top and sides to let air in and notched the edge in two places so a hose and cord could remain connected when the lid was closed.
Interestingly, a manufactured product along these lines already exists in Europe (the Aerotainer 240). Made by Prebena, which offers a portion of its product line in the US, the compressor is housed in a modified Systainer and can be used alone or ganged with another Systainer compressor for twice the output.
