Milwaukee expanded its measurement tool offerings with the recent addition of two laser distance meters. The new tools are designed with a simplified interface, universal icons, memory storage, and the ability to add and subtract distances and dimensions. For increased accuracy both can be attached to tripods. They fit squarely into corners and lay flat and level when placed on or against a flat surface.

The 2281-20 Laser Distance Meter is intended to replace the earlier 2280-20 and offers five different functions, including: distance measurement (up to 200 feet), area, volume, indirect measurement of distance, and stake out equal distances (such as studs).

The 2282-20 (pictured) does everything the 2281-20 does and then some. Additional features of this model include increased distance measurement (up to 269 feet), an inclinometer, and a timer delay for increased accuracy and easier single-person operation.
