We got a chance to try out the latest cordless reciprocating saw at the Bosch booth. Inside, it’s similar to the CRS180 with strokes per minute in the 0-2,700 range, and a stroke length of 1 1/8 inches. This saw has a brushless motor, and, as you can see, a unique shape. Bosch said it designed the handle to be more ergonomic – taking pressure off the hands and wrists by giving you more gripping options at the handle. They pointed the nose down to make working overhead easier as well. The saw has three orbital settings, six speed range settings, and a variable-speed trigger. It also has an adjustable shoe and large blade-change mechanism so you can change blades easily even when wearing work gloves. It runs on 18V batteries and will ship with Bosch’s new Core 18V 6.3Ah pack. Pricing is not yet available; the saw is expected to release this June. www.boschtools.com
