In the video below, woodworker Izzy Swan shows us how he makes some very clever corner clamps for building casework and cabinets. I learned of a similar clamping style from a woodworker a few years ago, and admit to using a very crude version of cleats screwed to my workbench and shims instead of hardwood wedges. My version worked fine for the small job that I was doing. But Izzy’s verstion is much more refined, adjustable, and, best of all, reusable. He also imparts a cool technique for creating and strengthening threads in wood.
