The Fluke 62Max+ Infrared Thermometer is designed with durability and simplicity in mind. Its maker says it can withstand dirt, rain, and falls of up to 9.8 feet. Most noncontact thermometers use a single laser to indicate the center of the area where temperature is being measured — which can be confusing because the area varies with distance. To avoid that problem, this tool can be set to a dual-laser mode in which two lasers land on opposite edges of the area in question. It has a temperature range of –22°F to 1,202°F and comes with a built-in carabiner attachment.
