I've seen similar saws in the past, European models where the operator pulls a lever and the blade slides forward for cross cutting. That would strike most American carpenters as odd but when you see the video it kind of makes sense – not that I'd ever give up my miter saw. But then in Europe, miter saws are not nearly as common as they are here.
There are a number of things I like about this machine: the folding leg system, its apparent light weight, and the various outfeed tables. The setup for table-mounting a jigsaw (at the 5:00 mark) is kind of cool.
This table saw is available in Europe but not in the U.S.
